A practice built around patience and small, careful movements
HomeOUR STORY
How Fathom Horology came to be
Fathom Horology began in Bangkok with a simple observation: many watches sitting in drawers weren't broken beyond hope, they'd just been waiting for someone with the time to look properly. Our founder, trained through years of workshop apprenticeship, wanted a practice where each piece could be assessed on its own terms rather than rushed through a queue.
Today, the workshop on Sathorn Road continues that same approach. We take on crystal work, self-winding system servicing, and ongoing collection care, always working at a pace suited to the mechanism rather than a fixed schedule. Clients bring us watches passed down through family, purchased on travels, or simply worn every day until something felt off.
Our mission is straightforward: to treat every watch as something worth understanding before it's touched, and to explain what we find in plain terms. We keep records of the work completed on each piece, so owners have a written history to refer back to over the years.

HOW WE WORK
Standards we hold to
Written Assessments
Every watch is assessed and the findings are put in writing before work is agreed.
Careful Handling
Movements are handled under controlled conditions to protect delicate components.
Client Privacy
Contact and ownership details are kept confidential and used only for your service.
Service Records
A simple record follows each watch, noting work completed and dates of service.
Watch repair in Bangkok covers a wide range of needs, from a scratched crystal on a daily-wear piece to the deeper attention a self-winding movement asks for after years of use. Fathom Horology approaches each request with the same grounding: understand the mechanism, explain what's found, and proceed only once the owner is comfortable. Our workshop draws on traditional bench skills alongside a steady respect for the materials involved, whether that's a case that needs gentle polishing or a rotor that has slowed with age. For those with several watches, our Collection Care Programme offers a quieter alternative to reactive repairs, spacing attention across the year rather than waiting for a fault to appear. Clients across Silom, Bang Rak, and wider Bangkok have brought us pieces ranging from everyday watches to ones kept for sentimental reasons, and each is treated with the same unhurried care.
